Story/Concept: (8/10) Picking up from the ending of the Caught in the Untertow storyline that finished last issue. We find Red Robin fighting for his life against Catman, racing to save a friend from sudden, and reuniting with his old friends the Teen Titans.
Writing: (8/10) On my previous review on issue 19 I gushed about Nicieza more than enough, so I will simply say it is more of the same. He really knows the main character well and handles the guest starring characters very well and they felt natural in this book and you felt the history Red Robin has with all the people he comes into contact with this issue. Now after two issues in I’m convinced to go out to purchase the trades of this series to catch up because I loving it some much.
Art: (8/10) Just more solid artwork from someone I’m considering to be a up and coming star in Marcus To.
Cover: (8/10) Classic style cover actually done by the interior artist and it actually conveys the actions that go on inside the comic.
Overall: (8/10) Another solid effort from this creative team, and it seems like they have more good stuff in store.
Bottom Line: Even if your not a Robin, Tim Drake, or Batman book fan I believe you can still pick up read and enjoy this title. Just good fun and accessible to new readers, which is a plus if your picking up the book for the first time. Give Red Robin a try I think you might like it.
